김포시, 디지털 배움터 운영으로 디지털 격차 해소

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=김포 이현준기자] 김포시는 디지털 시대에 발맞춰 시민들의 정보격차 해소와 디지털 역량 강화를 위해 '2025년 디지털배움터'를 운영한다고 밝혔다.

시는 고령층과 디지털 소외 계층을 비롯한 시민 누구나 디지털 기술을 배우고 활용할 수 있도록 5월부터 ‘디지털 배움터 교육’을 무료로 운영한다.

디지털 배움터는 주요 교육장(풍무도서관, 김포시 노인종합복지관, 김포시 장애인복지관, 김포시 종합사회복지관, 김포노인대학, 김포시 제2종합사회복지관)과 별도체험존(김포시 종합사회복지관)에서 진행되며, 시민들이 실생활에서 유용한 디지털 기술을 쉽게 익힐 수 있도록 구성됐다.

주요 교육장에서 진행되는 교육 신청은 디지털 배움터 누리집에서 가능하며, 별도 체험존(김포시 종합사회복지관)은 키오스크, 가상현실(VR), 휴머노이드 로봇 등 최신 정보화( IT) 기기를 직접 체험할 수 있는 공간으로 누구나 사전 신청없이 방문해 이용할 수 있다.

이관호 정보통신과장은 “디지털 기기 이용에 어려움을 겪고 있는 시민들의 디지털 격차를 줄이고 디지털 사회의 혜택을 누릴 수 있도록 디지털 활용과 기본 역량교육을 적극 지원하겠다”라고 전했다.
