김포시, 시민헌장 개정 추진위원회 첫 회의 개최

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=김포 이현준기자] 김포시는 27일 ‘김포시 시민헌장 개정 추진위원회’ 제1차 회의를 개최하고, 제정 33년 만에 시민헌장 개정 작업의 공식적인 첫발을 내디뎠다.

1992년 제정된 '김포군 군민헌장'은 시 승격 당시 자구 수정만 거쳐 약 33년간 유지되어 왔으며, 김포시는 도시의 변화된 정체성과 감수성을 반영하고 현재에 어울리지 않는 표현을 다듬기 위해 개정 절차에 착수했다.

이날 회의에서는 시민헌장 키워드 공모전 결과를 공유하고, 개정 취지와 방향에 대한 의견을 나눴다. 위원들은 특히 세대·계층·지역을 포괄할 수 있는 가치 중심의 헌장이 되어야 한다는 데 의견을 모았다.

앞서 지난 4월부터 약 한 달간 진행한 시민헌장 키워드 공모전에는 ‘미래’, ‘성장’, ‘발전’, ‘공존’, ‘소통’ 등이 상위 키워드로 선정됐다. 이날 회의에서는 이러한 시민의 기대를 시민헌장에 어떻게 담아낼지에 대한 다양한 제언이 이어졌다. 아울러 헌장의 인지도 제고와 실효성 확보 방안으로 행사와 연계한 헌장 낭독 문화 확산 등 실천 전략도 제시됐다.
