[Break News Gyeonggi Nambu = Reporter Kim Jeong-eun, Hwaseong] Hwaseong Special City has opened the main registration period for the "2026 Byeolbyeol Hwaseong Awards," a contest that combines artificial intelligence technology with innovative ideas from citizens to showcase the city's vision.

The event has already demonstrated immense creative enthusiasm, drawing hundreds of applicants during the preliminary registration phase. The contest has significantly expanded beyond its original video-centric format to include three categories spanning various audiovisual media: AI commercials, short-form content, and CM songs. Open to everyone—not just professionals—the competition serves as a catalyst for broadening the base of AI-driven creativity within the local community.

Outstanding entries will be showcased to a global audience at the MARS Expo—Korea’s premier AI exhibition—scheduled to take place at COEX in Seoul this November. These creative works, crafted by citizens, are expected to reach the global stage and act as a driving force in promoting the city's future value to the world.
