시흥시, 하절기 집중 방역 추진

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=시흥 이현준기자] 시흥시가 여름철 감염병 예방과 시민 건강 보호를 위해 이달부터 10월 말까지 하절기 집중 방역을 실시한다.

시흥시보건소는 기후 변화로 모기와 파리 등 위생해충이 급증함에 따라 관내 전 지역을 대상으로 환경친화적 방역 사업을 본격화한다.

이번 방역은 살충제 분무와 더불어 해충의 생활사에 맞춘 과학적 체계 구축에 집중한다. 특히 성충 제거뿐 아니라 맨홀, 정화조, 하천 변 등 주요 산란처를 관리해 모기 유충 단계부터 차단하는 유충 구제 방식을 중점적으로 시행한다.
