안성시, 정보통신보조기기 보급사업 추진

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=안성 이현준기자] 안성시가 신체적이나 경제적 여건으로 디지털 정보 접근에 어려움을 겪는 장애인들을 지원하기 위해 2026년 정보통신보조기기 보급사업을 전개한다.

경기도 및 과학기술정보통신부와 공동으로 추진하는 이번 사업은 정보통신보조기기 구매 가격의 80퍼센트를 지원하여 정보 격차를 해소하고 삶의 질을 높이는 데 목적이 있다.

정보통신보조기기는 장애인이 컴퓨터나 스마트폰 등 정보통신 기기를 편리하게 이용할 수 있도록 돕는 특수 키보드, 점자 출력기, 영상 전화기 등의 장비를 의미하며 정보격차는 경제적, 지역적, 신체적 여건에 따라 정보 통신 서비스에 접근하거나 이용하는 역량의 차이가 발생하는 현상을 뜻한다. 

지원 대상은 등록 장애인 및 상이등급 판정을 받은 국가유공자이며 시각, 지체, 청각 등 장애 유형별로 특화된 128종의 기기 중 자신에게 필요한 제품을 선택해 신청할 수 있다.
