시흥시, 하천·계곡 구역 및 주변 불법 점용시설 정비 본격화

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=시흥 이현준기자] 시흥시는 지난 28일 장현천 일대의 하천·계곡 구역 및 주변 불법 점용시설에 대한 현장 실태 점검을 실시하고 향후 정비 계획을 논의했다.

박승삼 시흥시장 권한대행은 정비 TF 단장 자격으로 직접 현장을 방문해 하천구역 내 불법 시설물, 무단 경작, 물건 적치 등 주요 위반 사항을 중점적으로 점검했다. 이번 점검은 하천 내 불법 행위에 대한 정부의 엄정 대응 방침에 따른 것으로, 특히 집중호우 시 제방 안전을 저해할 수 있는 불법 경작지에 대한 신속한 원상복구를 지시했다.

시는 불법 행위자에 대해 자진 철거를 우선 유도하되, 미이행 시 변상금 부과와 행정대집행 등 강력한 행정 조치를 취할 방침이다. 또한 여름철 자연재난에 대비해 위험 요인을 사전에 차단하고, 상습 위반 지역은 중점관리구역으로 지정해 지속적으로 관리할 계획이다.
