광주도시관리공사, 밀폐공간 질식재해 예방 모의훈련 실시

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=광주 이현준기자] 광주도시관리공사는 지난 21일 하번천리 인근 현장에서 관로시설팀 전 직원이 참여한 가운데 밀폐공간 질식재해 예방 모의훈련을 시행했다.

하수관로 유지관리를 담당하는 관로시설팀 주관으로 진행된 이번 훈련은 하수맨홀 및 관로 작업 중 발생할 수 있는 산소 결핍과 유해가스 노출 위험을 차단하고 응급상황 발생 시 신속한 구조 역량을 강화하기 위해 마련됐다.

공사 측은 2025년 밀폐공간 질식 사고 사망자가 역대 최다인 20명을 기록하는 등 사회적 우려가 커짐에 따라 2023년부터 매년 상하반기 2회씩 선제적인 정기 훈련을 이어오고 있다.
