경기도 기후행동 기회소득, OECD 공공부문 혁신사례집 등재

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 이현준기자] 경기도는 기후행동 기회소득 정책이 2026년 경제협력개발기구(OECD) 공공부문 혁신 사례집에 등재됐다.

OECD 공공혁신협의회는 복잡한 사회문제 해결을 위해 국제사회와 공유할 만한 각국의 혁신 정책을 수집하여 분석하고 있으며 이번 등재는 경기도의 정책이 국제적인 혁신 모델로 인정받은 결과다. 기존의 규제 위주 탄소 감축에서 벗어나 도민의 일상 속 실천을 정책과 연결하고 보상을 제공하는 새로운 모델을 제시했다는 점에서 높은 평가를 받았다.

기후행동 기회소득은 일상에서 탄소 배출을 줄이는 활동에 참여한 도민에게 지역화폐로 보상을 제공하는 정책으로 현재까지 184만 명 이상의 도민이 참여하고 있다.

참여자들은 전용 애플리케이션을 통해 태양광 설치, 대중교통 이용, 걷기, 다회용기 사용 등 16가지 행동을 실천하며 연간 최대 6만 원의 지역화폐를 지원받는다. 특히 오는 4월부터는 용인, 화성, 의왕, 시흥, 가평, 오산 등 6개 시군을 대상으로 시군 리워드 제도를 신설해 해당 지역 주민들에게 추가 혜택을 제공할 예정이다.
