시흥시, 위기청소년 월 최대 45만 원 지원

【브레이크뉴스 경기남부 = 시흥 이현준 기자】시흥시가 오는 3월 31일까지 ‘2026년 위기청소년 특별지원’ 대상자를 집중적으로 모집한다.

위기청소년 특별지원은 사회·경제적으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 위기청소년을 적극적으로 발굴해 생활·건강·학업·상담·자립·법률·활동 등 다양한 분야의 복지 서비스를 직접 지원하는 사업이다.

최근 경기 침체와 가족 돌봄 공백, 사회적 고립 문제 등이 심화함에 따라 복지 사각지대에 놓인 청소년을 조기에 발견하고 맞춤형 지원을 강화하기 위해 추진된다. 시는 지난해 위기청소년 45명을 지원했으며, 올해도 비슷한 규모로 지원을 이어간다.

지원 대상은 가구 중위소득 100% 이하의 9세부터 24세 이하 관내 청소년이다. 보호자가 없거나 실질적으로 보호받지 못하는 청소년, 비행·일탈 예방을 위해 지원이 필요한 청소년, 학교 밖 청소년 지원에 관한 법률에 따른 학교 밖 청소년, 사회·경제적 요인으로 고립·은둔 상태에 있는 청소년이다. 다만, 다른 법률이나 제도를 통해 같은 내용의 지원을 받고 있으면 중복 지원이 제한된다.

최종 대상자 선정과 지원 금액 및 기간 등은 청소년복지심의위원회의 심의를 거쳐 결정되며, 선정된 청소년에게는 결정된 지원 내용에 따라 분야별로 월 20만 원에서 최대 45만 원까지 4~6개월간 지원된다.

집중 신청 기간 이후에도 상시 신청이 가능하며, 주소지 관할 행정복지센터를 방문하거나 ‘복지로’ 누리집을 통해 신청할 수 있다.
