용인특례시, ‘동백신봉선 신설‧용인선 연장’ 사전 타당성 조사 용역 신속 추진

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 이현준기자] 용인특례시는 동백신봉선 신설과 용인선 연장 사업을 신속히 추진하기 위해 오는 4월 제1회 추가경정예산에 사전 타당성 조사 용역비를 반영할 계획이다.

이는 지난해 12월 국토교통부 승인을 통해 제2차 경기도 도시철도망 구축계획에 해당 노선들이 최종 반영된 데 따른 후속 조치다.

동백신봉선은 수지구 신봉동에서 성복역과 구성역을 거쳐 동백역까지 이어지는 14.7km 구간으로 플랫폼시티와 연결되는 핵심 노선이다. 용인선 연장은 기흥역에서 광교중앙역까지 6.8km를 잇는 사업이다. 시는 이번 용역에서 언남지구 개발과 플랫폼시티 변경 사항을 반영해 교통 수요를 산출하고 최적의 노선과 기술적 실현 가능성을 검토할 방침이다.
