광주시, 시도 23호선~역동 이편한세상 연결도로 개통

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=광주 이현준기자] 광주시는 ‘시도 23호선~역동 이편한세상 연결도로(소로 3-61호선)’를 오는 26일 개통한다.

해당 도로는 광주역세권과 역동 이편한세상 아파트 단지의 교통편의 향상과 접근성 강화를 위해 역동 252 일원에 조성됐다.

해당 지역은 기존에 시도 23호선에서 공동주택 단지로 진입하기 위해 마을 길(역동 94-16 일원)을 이용하거나 광주역 방면으로 우회해야 해 주민 불편이 지속돼 왔다. 특히, 출·퇴근 시간대 교통 혼잡으로 사고 위험이 높아지면서 연결도로 개설에 대한 민원이 꾸준히 제기돼 왔다.

이에 시는 주민 숙원사업 해결을 위해 2022년부터 관련 용역을 발주하고 지구단위계획 변경 등 행정 절차를 거쳐 지난 3일 연결도로 공사를 완료했다.
