이상일 용인특례시장, ‘2025 꿈드림 어워즈 & 성장발표회’ 참석

【브레이크뉴스 경기남부 = 용인 이현준 기자】 이상일 용인특례시장이 ‘2025 꿈드림 어워즈 & 성장발표회’에 참석했다.

29일 오후 용인특례시 미디어센터에서 (재)용인시청소년미래재단 학교밖청소년지원센터 ‘꿈드림’이 주최한 이날 행사에는 이상일 시장을 비롯해 학교밖청소년과 학부모, 멘토 등 80여 명이 참석했다.

올해 꿈드림센터는 ▲검정고시 합격 113명(만점자 3명) ▲정규학교 복교 42명 ▲대학 진학 12명 ▲자격증 취득 29명 등 총 285명의 청소년이 다양한 성과를 달성했다.

이 시장은 인사말에서 “꿈드림 과정을 훌륭하게 마치고 졸업을 맞은 여러분 모두 진심으로 축하드린다”며 “이 자리에 오기까지 뒷받침을 잘해 주신 부모님과 가족 여러분, 멘토 선생님, 그리고 센터 운영진 여러분께도 깊은 감사의 뜻을 전한다”고 말했다.

이 시장은 “꿈드림센터 학생들이 올 한 해 검정고시에 113명이 합격하고 그 중 3명이 만점을 받았으며, 자격증 취득자도 29명이나 되는 놀라운 성과를 보여줬다”면서 “여러분들의 성취가 꿈드림 프로그램에 참여하는 후배 청소년들에게 용기와 희망을 줄 것이라 생각한다”고 했다.

이 시장은 “여러분은 지금 인생의 제1 챕터를 멋지게 마무리했다고 생각한다”며 “앞으로 펼쳐질 2챕터, 3챕터 그리고 그 이후의 삶에서도 여러분이 꿈을 잘 가꾸면서 도전하고, 설사 실패를 해도 포기하지 않고 또 도전을 한다면 성취의 챕터를 쓸 수 있을 것”이라고 말했다. 그러면서 “시는 청소년미래재단과 함께 더 나은 프로그램을 마련해 여러분의 배움과 도전을 열심히 돕겠다”고 덧붙였다.

검정고시 만점자이자 졸업생 대표로 나선 조재영 학생은 꿈드림센터를 통해 자신의 꿈을 키워온 소감을 발표하며 참석자들에게 감동을 전했다.

1부 졸업식이 끝난 이후에는 졸업생 공연과 청소년 장기자랑이 이어진 ‘성장 발표회’가 진행됐으며, 졸업생을 축하하기 위한 초청 마술공연과 팝페라 무대도 마련됐다.

‘꿈드림 센터’는 9~24세 학교밖청소년을 대상으로 상담·학습지원·직업훈련·자립지원 등 맞춤형 프로그램을 운영하고 있다. 

센터는 2015년 개소 이후 누적 786명의 청소년이 등록해 지속적인 교육·상담·자립 지원을 받아왔다.

Cho Jae-young, a student who achieved a perfect score on the GED exam and represented the graduating class, shared his thoughts on how he cultivated his dreams through the Dream Dream Center, touching the audience.

Following the first part of the graduation ceremony, a "Growth Presentation" was held, featuring graduate performances and youth talent shows. To celebrate the graduates, an invited magic show and pop opera performance were also held.

The "Dream Dream Center" offers customized programs, including counseling, learning support, job training, and self-reliance support, for out-of-school youth aged 9 to 24.

Since its opening in 2015, the center has welcomed a cumulative 786 youth, who have received ongoing education, counseling, and self-reliance support.
