화성특례시, 세계보건기구(WHO) 고령친화도시 인증 획득

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=화성 이현준기자] 화성특례시는 세계보건기구(WHO)로부터 ‘고령친화도시 국제네트워크’ 인증을 획득했다.

이를 기반으로 ‘모두의 고령친화도시, 행복 가득 오래 살고 싶은 화성특례시!’라는 비전 아래 고령친화 정책을 본격 추진한다.

시는 고령화 사회에 대응해 노년층의 삶의 질 향상과 세대 간 공존을 위한 지속적인 노력을 인정받아 인증에 통과했으며, 이는 2023년 7월 「화성시 노인복지 기본 조례」 제정 및 2025년 6월 고령친화도시 조성 계획 수립의 결과이다.
