광주시, ‘농촌 공간 재구조화 및 재생 기본계획’ 착수보고회 개최

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=광주 이현준기자] 광주시는 16일 시청 비전홀에서 ‘농촌 공간 재구조화 및 재생 기본계획 수립 용역’ 착수보고회를 열고 농촌지역의 체계적인 발전 방향 마련을 위한 본격적인 계획 수립에 착수했다.

이번 기본계획은 지난해 3월부터 시행된 ‘농촌 공간 재구조화 및 재생 지원에 관한 법률’에 근거한 법정 계획으로 농촌 소멸 위기에 대응하기 위한 10년 단위의 중장기 계획이다.

이날 보고회에는 방세환 시장을 비롯해 허경행 시의회 의장, 관계 부서장 등 60여 명이 참석해 계획 수립의 필요성과 추진 방향, 기본구상(안), 향후 일정 등에 대한 설명을 듣고 농촌지역의 주요 현안과 발전 방향에 대해 폭넓게 의견을 나눴다.

시는 이번 기본계획 수립을 토대로 일반농산어촌개발사업, 농촌공간정비사업 등 각종 공모사업을 적극 추진하고 현장 중심의 실효성 있는 사업을 지속 발굴해 나갈 방침이다.

이에 대해 방 시장은 “이번 농촌 공간 재구조화 및 재생 기본계획은 향후 10년간 광주시 농촌의 발전 방향을 제시하는 중요한 이정표가 될 것”이라며 “지역의 현실과 주민의 목소리를 충실히 반영해 사람이 머물고 싶은 농촌 지속가능한 광주의 미래를 만들어 가겠다”고 말했다.
