광주시, 국비 100% 지원 ‘2025년 저탄소 농업프로그램’ 추진

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=광주 이현준기자] 광주시는 국비 100%로 추진되는 ‘2025년 저탄소 농업프로그램’ 시범 사업을 본격적으로 이행한다고 14일 밝혔다.

이번 사업은 논벼 재배 과정에서 발생하는 온실가스를 줄이기 위한 국가 단위의 저탄소 실천 사업으로 지역 내 생산자 단체를 대상으로 참여 신청을 받아 저탄소 영농 활동에 대해 이행활동비를 지급하는 선택형 직불사업의 일환이다.

시는 사업 참여 농업인의 이해도 제고와 원활한 이행을 위해 지난 9월 30일 도척농협 교육장에서 한국농어촌공사 주관 교육을 실시했다. 교육에 참여한 시범 대상 농가들은 재배 과정에 저탄소 기술을 적극 도입해 친환경 영농을 실천함으로써 국가 온실가스 감축 목표 달성에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
