경기도, 오피스텔 불법 숙박업 집중 단속

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 이현준기자] 경기도가 10월 1일부터 17일까지 3주간 온라인 플랫폼을 이용해 오피스텔 불법 숙박업을 집중 단속한다. 이번 단속은 온라인으로 확산하는 불법 숙박 영업을 막고 기존 숙박업계의 피해를 방지하기 위해 진행한다.

이번 단속은 수원, 부천, 성남, 고양 등 숙박업소가 밀집한 12개 지역을 중심으로 이루어진다. 단속 대상은 다수의 객실을 운영하거나 폐쇄 명령을 받고도 영업을 지속하는 업소, 그리고 오랜 기간 운영했거나 이용 후기가 많은 업소 중 불법 행위가 의심되는 곳이다.

•미신고 숙박업: 관할 관청에 영업 신고를 하지 않은 불법 숙박업소는 2년 이하의 징역 또는 2,000만 원 이하의 벌금을 받을 수 있다.

•폐쇄명령 미이행: 영업소 폐쇄 명령 처분을 받고도 계속 영업하는 경우 1년 이하의 징역 또는 1,000만 원 이하의 벌금에 처한다.

오피스텔은 건축법상 업무시설로 분류되어 숙박업 운영이 불가능하며, 소방 시설 등 안전 점검 대상이 아니어서 이용객에게 큰 위험이 될 수 있다.
