경과원, ‘방위산업 동향과 경기도 시사점’ 보고서 발간

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 이현준기자] 경기도경제과학진흥원이 최근 '방위산업 동향과 경기도 시사점' 보고서를 발간하고, 변화하는 글로벌 안보 환경에 맞춰 경기도의 방위산업 육성 전략을 제시했다.

이번 보고서는 방위산업이 단순히 무기를 생산하는 것을 넘어 고용 창출과 첨단 기술 확산을 이끄는 핵심 산업으로 성장한 현실을 진단하고, 경기도가 미래 전략산업의 중심지로 도약하기 위한 방향을 담았다.

세계 방위비 지출은 2024년 2조 6,765억 달러로 최근 10년간 꾸준히 증가했다. 특히 대한민국은 2022년부터 2024년까지 매년 수백억 달러 규모의 방산 수출을 기록하며 세계 9위권의 방산 수출국으로 자리매김했다.
