경과원, ‘경기도 RISE 수행대학 협력 네트워킹 데이’ 개최

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 이현준기자] 경기도와 경기도경제과학진흥원 경기RISE센터가 지난 4일 '경기도 RISE 수행대학 협력 네트워킹 데이'를 열고 '경기도 RISE 대학협의회' 출범을 공식화했다. ]

이번 행사는 경기도가 추진하는 '지역혁신중심 대학지원체계(RISE)' 사업의 협력 기반을 다지고자 마련됐다.

RISE는 교육부의 대학 재정지원 권한을 지자체로 이관해 지역 특성에 맞는 인재를 양성하고 대학의 혁신을 촉진하는 사업이다.

경기도는 올해 2월 교육부 평가에서 최우수 시·도로 선정돼 658억 원의 예산을 확보했으며, 5월에는 일반대 25곳과 전문대 25곳 등 총 50개 대학을 수행대학으로 최종 확정했다. 이를 통해 '인재양성-취·창업-정주'로 이어지는 선순환 혁신 생태계를 구축하는 데 박차를 가하고 있다.

이번 네트워킹 데이에는 경기도, 경기RISE센터, 그리고 50개 수행대학의 사업단장 및 실무자 등 180여 명이 참석했다. 경기도와 경기RISE센터는 시·군 협력 연계 방안과 워킹그룹 운영 방안을 공유하며 지역과 대학의 연계·협력을 강화하는 방안을 모색했다. 이어진 라운드테이블과 교류 프로그램을 통해 대학 간 정보 공유와 네트워크 확장도 촉진했다.

이번 행사에서는 네트워킹 데이와 연계해 경기도 RISE 대학협의회 출범식도 진행됐다. 2025년 경기도 RISE에 선정된 일반대학과 전문대학이 모두 참여해 통합 협의회를 구성하고 임원을 확정했다는 점에서 의미가 크다. 총회에서는 협의회 운영 방향과 공동 의제를 논의하며 대학 주도의 혁신 생태계 조성 기반을 마련했다.

경기RISE센터는 이번 협의회 출범을 계기로 산학연협력 EXPO, 성과 포럼, 우수 사례집 발간 등을 추진해 RISE의 우수 성과를 널리 알리고, 지역과 대학의 지속 가능한 상생 발전 기반을 다질 계획이다.
