2025 안산 상호문화도시 국제심포지엄 개최

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=안산 이현준기자] 안산시가 오는 17일부터 19일까지 '2025 안산 상호문화도시 국제심포지엄'을 개최한다. 이번 행사는 이주민 전담 부서 설치 20주년과 유럽평의회 상호문화도시 지정 5주년을 기념하고, 외국인 주민 10만 명 시대를 맞아 마련됐다.

안산시는 2020년 2월 대한민국 최초로 유럽평의회 상호문화도시로 지정된 바 있다. 상호문화도시는 다양한 국적과 문화를 가진 주민들이 서로를 존중하며 교류하는 도시를 의미한다.

심포지엄은 '상호문화도시의 새로운 비전: 혁신, 포용, 그리고 공동발전'을 주제로 열린다. 일본 하마마쓰시 시장을 비롯해 리타 마라스칼치 유럽평의회 포용통합 사무국장, 야마와키 케이조 일본 메이지대학교 교수 등 세계 각국의 도시 관계자와 전문가들이 모여 우수 사례를 공유하고 심도 있는 논의를 진행할 예정이다.

안산시는 이번 심포지엄을 통해 그동안 쌓아온 정책 경험을 국내외에 알리고, 아시아 상호문화도시 네트워크 구축의 기반을 다질 방침이다.

행사 첫날인 17일에는 한양대학교 ERICA 캠퍼스에서 패널 발표와 토론이 진행된다. 18일에는 호텔스퀘어 안산에서 전문가 세미나와 본 심포지엄이 열리고, 19일에는 외국인주민지원본부와 글로벌다문화센터 등 선진 정책 현장을 직접 둘러보는 투어 프로그램이 마련된다.
