경기주택도시공사, 폭염 건설현장 IoT 기반 스마트 안전장비 도입

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 이현준기자] 연일 이어지는 폭염 속에 온열질환자가 급증하면서 건설현장 안전 관리에 비상이 걸렸다. 지난 23일 기준 전국 응급실에 실려 온 온열질환자는 총 42명, 이 중 1명이 숨졌으며 올여름 누적 환자는 4천 명에 육박한 상황이다.

이에 경기주택도시공사(GH)는 건설현장 안전경영을 한층 강화하기 위해 경기융합타운 경기정원 조성사업 현장에 IoT 기반 스마트 안전장비 25대를 도입했다고 25일 밝혔다.

경기융합타운은 수원 광교신도시에서 추진 중인 광역행정·공공기관 복합개발 사업으로, 2026년 경기정원 완공을 끝으로 사업이 마무리된다. 경기정원은 약 3만2,700㎡ 규모의 녹지공간에 잔디광장, 평화연못, 어린이놀이터, 맨발 황토길 등 친환경 공간으로 조성되며, RE100 정책에 따라 신재생에너지를 활용한 전력 생산도 이뤄질 예정이다.

이번에 GH가 도입한 스마트밴드는 근로자의 체온·심박수를 실시간 측정해 이상 징후 발생 시 즉시 안전관리자에게 경고 알림을 전송, 사고를 사전에 예방한다. 아울러 스마트 안전모는 근로자의 쓰러짐이나 긴급상황을 자동 감지해 SOS 신호를 발송, 신속한 초기 대응을 가능하게 한다.
