용인특례시 수지구, 초등학교 통학로·보행환경 개선

【브레이크뉴스 경기남부 = 용인 이현준 기자】 용인특례시 수지구는 학생들의 안전한 통학 환경을 조성하고 시민들의 보행 불편을 해소하기 위해 초등학교 3곳의 통학로 개선 사업을 완료했다고 24일 밝혔다.

구는 학교별 특성과 주민 의견을 반영해 ▲소현초등학교 캐노피 복구 ▲신일초등학교 보도 재포장과 열선 설치 ▲심곡초등학교 주변 통학로 및 도로 환경 개선을 마무리했다.

지난해 기록적인 폭설로 붕괴된 소현초 통학로(상현동 870번지) 내 캐노피는 도비와 시비 총 2억 원을 투입해 총 250m 구간에 새로 설치됐다. 

이를 통해 우천 시 불편을 줄이고 햇볕을 피할 수 있는 그늘이 마련돼 학생들이 쾌적하고 안전하게 등하교할 수 있게 됐다.

신일초(신봉동 920번지) 주변에는 노후 보도를 재포장하고 보도에 열선을 매립해 겨울철 눈·비로 인한 결빙 위험을 최소화했다.

미끄럼 방지 기능이 강화된 보도를 통해 학생은 물론 인근 주민들도 안전하게 이동할 수 있게 됐다.

심곡초(상현동 871) 후문 통학로와 성복역현대홈타운 아파트~서원마을아이파크 3단지 아파트 사이 도로에는 보행자 우선도로 조성 사업이 추진됐다.

시는 도로 바닥에 보행자 우선도로임을 알리는 ‘스탬프형 도막 포장’을 시공하고, 교통안전 표지판을 설치했다.
