수원특례시의회, 가평군 집중호우 침수 피해에 따른 수해복구 지원 자원봉사활동 펼쳐

【브레이크뉴스 경기남부 = 수원 이현준 기자】 수원특례시의회는 최근 집중호우로 큰 침수 피해를 입은 가평군 조종면 일원을 찾아 수해 복구를 위한 자원봉사활동을 전개했다.

이번 봉사활동은 집중호우로 피해를 입은 농가의 신속한 복구를 지원하고, 어려움에 처한 이재민들에게 힘을 보태기 위해 마련된 것으로, 7월 26일(토) 가평군 조종면 신하리 214번지 일대 포도농장에서 진행됐다.

이날 봉사에는 이재식 의장을 비롯해 김정렬 부의장, 장정희 기획경제위원장, 유준숙 의원, 유재광 의원, 김은경 의원, 김경례 의원, 정광량 의회사무국장과 직원 등 30여 명이 참여해, 35도가 웃도는 폭염 속에서도 침수된 농작물 정리, 토사 제거 등 복구 작업에 온 힘을 다해 임했다.

이재식 의장은 “갑작스러운 집중호우로 큰 피해를 입은 농가의 아픔에 깊이 공감하며, 의회 차원에서도 작게나마 도움이 되고자 현장을 찾았다”며 “앞으로도 시의회는 재난 발생 시 발 빠르게 대응하고, 이웃과 상생하는 지방의회로서의 역할을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
