경과원, ‘경기라이즈’ 도·대학 상생 협력체계 구축

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 이현준기자] 경기도와 경기도경제과학진흥원(이하 경과원)은 9일 경기R&DB센터에서 도내 50개 라이즈(RISE) 수행대학과 첫 공식 간담회를 열고 지역과 대학의 상생 협력을 위한 본격적인 행보에 나섰다.

지역혁신중심 대학지원체계(라이즈, RISE)는 교육부가 대학 재정지원 권한을 지자체에 이관해 지역 특성에 맞는 인재를 양성하고 대학 혁신을 지원하는 사업이다.

첫 간담회에는 경기도, 경기RISE센터, 도내 라이즈 수행 주관대학의 사업단장과 실무자 등 70여 명이 참석했다. 이날 참석자들은 ▲2025년 RISE 연간 추진계획 ▲라이즈 수행대학 협의회 구성 및 회장교 선출 ▲성과·홍보 강화 방안 ▲대학 간 연계·협력 방안 등을 주제로 심도 있는 논의를 펼쳤다.

간담회는 대학의 현장 목소리를 청취하는 방식으로 진행됐다. 각 대학 사업단장들은 사업 초기 단계에서 마주하는 행정적 애로와 대학 간 연계에서 발생하는 실무적 과제를 공유하고, 경기RISE센터는 이를 반영한 개선안을 마련해 실질적인 사업 성과로 이어질 수 있도록 지원 체계를 보완할 계획이다.

이 자리에서 ‘경기도 라이즈 수행대학 협의회’도 공식 출범해 대학 간 협력 기반을 강화했다. 협의회는 대학 간 네트워크를 구축하고, 우수 성과를 발굴·확산하며, 정책 개선 의견을 모으는 역할을 맡게 된다.

일반대와 전문대 각각 1개 대학이 회장교로 선출되면서, 대학 간 소통 창구 역할을 맡을 협의회도 본격 가동됐다.

경기RISE센터는 향후 산학연협력 엑스포(EXPO), 성과 포럼, 사례집 발간 등을 통해 라이즈 사업의 성과를 대내외로 확산하고, 도내 대학과 지역이 함께 성장할 수 있는 지속가능한 협력 모델을 구축해 나갈 계획이다.

김현곤 경과원장은 “라이즈 사업은 지역의 혁신 역량을 대학과 연결해 미래 인재를 양성하고, 지역과 대학이 함께 성장하는 구조를 만드는 매우 중요한 사업”이라며 “협의회 등 다양한 거버넌스를 바탕으로 현장의 의견을 반영하고, 도와 대학이 함께 실질적인 변화를 만들어갈 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

한편 경기RISE센터는 지난 5월 선정평가를 통해 단독 16개, 컨소시엄 12개 등 총 28개 대학·컨소시엄을 선정하고, 수행대학으로 일반대 25개, 전문대 25개 등 총 50개교를 최종 확정한 바 있다.
