이상일 용인특례시장, ‘전국모범경로당’에 선정된 성복역 롯데캐슬 골드타운 경로당 축하

【브레이크뉴스 경기남부 = 용인 이현준 기자】 이상일 용인특례시장은 30일 시 최초로 ‘2025년 전국 모범경로당’으로 선정된 ‘성복역 롯데캐슬 골드타운 경로당’ 현판식에 참석해 축하의 뜻을 밝혔다.

‘전국모범경로당’은 (사)대한노인회 중앙회가 전국 6만 7000여개의 경로당을 대상으로 투명한 회계 관리와 운영 규정 준수, 회원 관리, 우수 프로그램 운영, 자체사업 발굴 등을 평가해 선정한다.

올해 전국에서 69곳이 ‘전국 모범경로당’으로 선정된 가운데 경기도에서는 7곳이 뽑혔다. 성복역 롯데캐슬 골드타운 경로당은 용인시에선 처음으로 전국 모범경로당에 선정됐다.

성복역 롯데캐슬 골드타운 경로당은 월 1회 8090 추억의 영화관, 작품발표회, 노래자랑 개최 등 다양한 프로그램 운영과 투명한 보조금 회계관리 등의 활동이 높은 평가를 받았다.

현판식에는 이상일 용인특례시장, 임헌우 (사)대한노인회 경기도연합회장을 비롯한 이재규 용인시 수지구지회장, 유명선 경로당 회장과 회원, 입주민 등 50여명이 참석했다.

이상일 시장은 “5년 전 이 자리에서 경로당 개관을 축하드렸는데, 불과 5년 만에 전국 6만 7000여 개 경로당 중 상위 0.1%에 해당하는 모범경로당으로 선정된 것을 진심으로 축하드린다”며, “건강보험공단, 한국영화진흥원, 서경대학교 등과 연계해 다양한 문화 건강 프로그램을 운영해서 어르신들게 기쁨을 드리고, 투명하고 책임감 있게 경로당을 잘 이끌어주신 덕분이다. 유명선 회장님과 회원 여러분께 감사와 축하의 뜻을 전한다”고 말했다.

이 시장은 “용인시는 현재 전체 인구의 약 16.5%에 해당하는 18만 명의 어르신들이 거주하는 고령사회로 접어들었다”며 “예산의 제약은 있지만 어르신들에게 실질적인 도움을 드릴 수 있도록 전국 최초로 고령 어르신들이 병원이나 관공서에 가실 때 동행자가 차량으로 모시고 안내를 해드리는 동행서비스도 높은 호응을 얻고 있다”고 했다.

이 시장은 “스마트경로당도 60곳을 조성하는 등 다양한 사업을 시행하고 있으니 잘 활용하시면 좋겠다”고 했다.

이 시장은 참석자들과 함께 현판 제막식을 마친 뒤 경로당에서 어르신들과 다과를 나누며 생활에 불편한 점은 없는지 세심하게 살폈다.

시는 어르신들을 위해 노인일자리 확대, 고령어르신 동행서비스, 홀몸노인가구 잔고장 출장서비스, 스마트경로당 60곳 개소, 인공지능을 활용한 AI돌봄서비스인 용인실버케어 순이, 3개구 노인복지관 AR 스포츠 체험공간 조성 등 다양한 사업을 추진하고 있다.

다양한 정책을 추진한 결과 지난해에는 세계보건기구(WHO) 고령친화도시네트워크 인증을 최단 기간에 획득했으며 올해는 보건복지부의 고령친화도시 정책대상에서 최우수상을 수상하는 쾌거를 이뤘다.
