[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 이현준기자] 용인특례시는 지난 18일  ‘2025년 제2회 반도체산업 경쟁력강화위원회’ 회의를 개최했다.

이날 회의는 글로벌 반도체산업 용인특례시에서 진행 중인 초대형 프로젝트 ‘용인 첨단시스템반도체 클러스터 국가산업단지’와 ‘용인 반도체클러스터 일반산업단지’를 비롯해 산업발전 기틀을 논의하기 위한 차원에서 열렸다.

회의에는 이상일 시장과 ‘반도체산업 경쟁력강화위원회’ 위원, 반도체산업 관련 부서 공직자 등 40명이 참석했다.

이상일 시장은 “용인특례시의 반도체산업 경쟁력을 강화하기 위해 바쁜 일정에도 불구하고 회의에 참석한 박재근 위원장을 비롯해 ‘반도체산업 경쟁력강화위원회’ 위원들에게 감사하다”며 “반도체산업과 관련된 각 분야 전문가인 위원님들이 현재 용인에서 진행 중인 초대형 반도체 프로젝트가 잘 진행될 수 있도록 계속 지혜를 주시기 바란다”고 말했다.

용인특례시 지난 2023년 2월 기업인과 교수 등 반도체산업 관련 전문가와 시 공직자, 시의회 의원을 포함한 14명의 위원을 위촉해 ‘1기 반도체산업 경쟁력강화위원회’ 운영을 시작했다.

2년 동안 ‘1기 반도체산업 경쟁력강화위원회’ 위원들은 ‘2024~2027 용인시 반도체 산업 육성 종합계획 및 시행계획’과 ‘2023~2026년 용인시 반도체 인재 양성 종합계획’의 발전 방안을 논의했고, 국제반도체장비재료협회의 활용방안과 기업 유치 원스톱 서비스 추진 등을 제안했다.
