【브레이크뉴스 경기남부 = 수원 이현준 기자】수원시의회 도시미래위원회(부위원장 최정헌)는 6월 6일(금) 오후 2시부터 4시까지 수원시의회 도시미래위원회에서 청년 에너지 포럼을 개최했다. 이번 포럼은 ‘청년 관점의 에너지 정책 모색’을 주제로, 특히 원자력에 대한 올바른 인식 제고와 관련 정보를 공유하기 위해 마련됐다.

청년세대의 에너지 정책 참여 유도

이번 행사는 고려대학교, 경희대학교, 서울대학교, 성균관대학교, 아주대학교, 연세대학교, 한양대학교, 그리고 코번트리(UK) 등 다양한 대학의 학부 및 석·박사 과정 재학생들이 참석해 눈길을 끌었다. 수원시2030청년들도 함께 참여하여 활발한 의견 교환이 이루어졌다.

최정헌 부위원장은 “에너지 정책은 미래 세대인 청년에게 직접적인 영향을 미치는 중요한 사안”이라며 “청년들의 목소리가 에너지 정책에 반영될 수 있도록 다양한 소통의 장을 지속적으로 마련하겠다”고 밝혔다.

포럼은 총 2시간 동안 진행되었으며, 기조강연은 전일 성균관대학교 나노공학과 교수가 맡아 ‘원자력의 진실’이라는 주제로 강연을 펼쳤다. 강연 후에는 참석 청년들과 자유로운 토론과 질의응답이 이어지며 에너지에 대한 청년들의 관심과 열띤 참여가 돋보였다.
