최정헌 수원청년위원회, 현충일 참배 행사 가져

【브레이크뉴스 경기남부 = 수원 이현준 기자】 수원청년위원회(위원장 최정헌)는 현충일을 맞아 대한민국의 자유와 평화를 위해 목숨을 바친 순국선열과 호국영령을 기리기 위해 참배 행사를 가졌다. 이번 행사에는 고려대학교, 경기대학교, 경희대학교, 서울대학교, 성균관대학교, 아주대학교, 한양대학교, 그리고 영국 코번트리대학교 재학생 등 국내외 주요 대학 청년들이 함께했다.

이번 참배는 단순한 추모를 넘어, 청년 세대가 대한민국의 역사적 아픔과 희생을 기억하고, 미래를 위한 책임감을 공유하는 뜻깊은 시간이었다. 수원지역 청년활동의 중심 역할을 맡고 있는 수원청년위원회는 그동안 청년정책, 청년네트워크 구축에 앞장서 왔으며, 이번 참배 역시 청년 간 연대를 강화하고 국가관을 심화시키기 위한 일환으로 기획되었다.

참배에 참여한 청년들은 수원현충탑에 모여 엄숙한 분위기 속에서 묵념과 헌화를 진행했다. 

이어서 간담회 중 각 대학 간 네트워크를 지속적으로 확대하고 사회적 책임을 실현하자는 목소리가 높았다.

수원청년위원회 최정헌 위원장은 “청년이 나라의 미래라고들 하지만, 그 미래를 위해 과거를 잊지 않는 것이 중요하다”며 “청년들이 함께 참배하는 이 자리가 진정한 국민통합과 애국심의 출발점이 되기를 바란다”고 밝혔다.

수원청년위원회는 앞으로도 청년정치, 정책 발굴뿐 아니라 역사교육, 안보의식 고취 등 다양한 영역에서 청년들의 자발적 참여를 유도하며, 지역과 세대를 넘는 청년 네트워크를 지속적으로 확대해나갈 계획이다.
