[브레이크뉴스경기남부=평택 이현준기자] 평택시는 12일 고덕국제신도시 내 국제학교 유치를 위한 4개 외국학교법인과의 협상을 마무리하고, 최종 설립법인 선정을 위한 절차에 본격 착수했다고 밝혔다.

시에 따르면, 협상을 마친 4개 외국학교법인이 모두 법인의 이사회 의결서를 제출함에 따라 평택시는 이들 중 최종 1개 법인을 선정하기 위한 최종 선정위원회를 오는 13일에 개최한다.

이번 선정위원회에서는 해외 본교와 화상 연결을 통해 인터뷰를 진행하고, 각 학교가 제출한 이사회 의결서와 사업계획서 등을 바탕으로 본교의 설립 의지, 명성도, 실현 가능성 등을 종합적으로 평가할 예정이다.

이를 위해 평택시는 지난 11일 분야별 외부 전문가 풀에서 무작위 추첨을 통해 선정위원 6명을 구성했다. 추첨 과정은 학교 관계자들이 비대면으로 참석한 가운데 생방송을 통해 공정하고 투명하게 진행됐다.
