이번 방문은 경기북부청소년성문화센터가 아동·청소년을 비롯한 지역사회 구성원들에게 성에 대한 올바른 지식 전달과 성폭력 예방 교육 등을 제공하며, 건전한 성문화 확산에 기여하고 더욱 효과적으로 역할을 수행할 수 있는 방안을 모색하기 위한 현장 간담회로 진행됐다.

이인애 의원은 운영 현황을 보고 받고, 센터는 “아동·청소년의 건전한 성 가치관 조성과 성범죄 예방을 위하여 아동·청소년 대상 성교육 전문기관으로서 역할이 매우 중요하다”며, 특히 “청소년 성인지 감수성 향상과 올바른 성가치관 형성을 위한 다양한 노력을 높이 평가하고, 성교육은 항상 아이들의 눈높이에 맞춘 교육과 강사분들이 교육에 편향적인 부분이 없도록 객관적으로 법의 내용을 담을 수 있도록 명확한 기준이 있어야 한다”고 강조했다.
