시는 15일 오전 시청 영상회의실에서 광명시한의사회와 ‘한방 난임 치료를 위한 협약’을 체결하고 난임부부에 대한 적극적인 지원을 약속했다.

이번 협약에 따라 시는 난임 부부당 최대 180만 원의 한방 치료비를 전액 지원하고, 한의사회는 지원 대상자 선별, 맞춤형 치료 등 적극적인 난임 치료를 제공할 방침이다.

박승원 광명시장은 “아이를 간절히 바라는 부부들이 경제적 부담 때문에 치료를 포기하지 않도록 체계적이고 포괄적인 난임 지원 정책을 지속적으로 확대해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

시는 지난 4월 ‘광명시 한방난임치료 지원에 관한 조례’를 개정해 지원 대상자에 사실혼 관계의 부부도 포함했으며, 만 44세 이하의 나이 제한도 없애며 더 많은 부부가 지원을 받을 수 있도록 했다.

사업은 5월 말부터 신청할 수 있으며, 사전 혈액검사를 거쳐 한의사회에서 최종 대상자를 선정한다.

선정된 대상자는 3개월간 복용할 수 있는 난임 치료 한약을 무료로 지원받는다. 단, 치료 기간 중 발생하는 진료비, 한방 물리 치료비 등은 본인이 부담해야 한다.
