이상일 시장은 “우리나라 최초의 사제인 김대건 신부를 역사적으로 기리고, 2027년 서울에서 열리는 세계청년대회를 맞아 용인시의 문화관광자원을 홍보하기 위해 김대건 신부의 발자취가 있는 은이성지 일대 도로에 명예도로명을 부여했다”며 “용인의 역사적 인물과 문화재를 활용한 명예도로명 부여를 앞으로도 적극 검토해 용인의 역사적 가치를 다양한 방법으로 기록하겠다”고 밝혔다.
