[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 오경희기자] 경기도의회 부의장 정윤경(더불어민주당, 군포1) 도의원이 5월 9일(금) 경기도와 대한노인회 경기연합회 주최로 열린 “제53회 어버이날 기념행사”에 도지사와 함께 참석했다.

이어 “경기도의회는 도민의 삶을 돌보는 기관으로써 어르신들이 더욱 존중받고, 보다 따뜻하고 안정된 노후를 보내실 수 있도록 실질적이고 지속적인 정책과 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.

이날 행사에서는 효행과 지역사회 발전에 기여한 유공자들에 대한 표창 수여식이 진행되었으며, 특히 사할린에서 영주귀국한 동포 어르신들에게 감사의 마음을 담아 카네이션을 직접 달아드리는 특별한 행사가 마련되어, 오랜 시간 타국에서 살아온 어르신들의 삶에 대한 존경과 경로효친의 참된 의미를 되새기는 소중한 시간이 됐다.
