[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 오경희기자] 경기도가 체류형 농촌 스마트팜 1개소를 추가 공모한다고 18일 밝혔다.

체류형 농촌 스마트팜은 스마트팜을 조성하고 농촌지역 폐교 등을 활용한, 취약계층 일자리를 창출하는 모델로 농산물을 생산하면서 체험학습, 교육, 캠핑장, 동물농장 등 수익을 다각화할 수 있어 지역 일자리 창출과 잉여이익의 지역환원을 통한 농촌공동체 회복 등에 효과적인 방안으로 주목받고 있다.

‘사회혁신형 스마트팜 구축 사업’의 하나인 이번 공모는 지속가능한 농업 기반을 마련하고 농촌 지역의 경제 활성화 및 인구 유입 촉진에 기여하고자 추진된다.

도는 지난달 공모를 통해 2곳을 선정했으며 이번 추가 공모로 1곳을 추가 선정할 계획이다. 신청 대상은 경기도 내 지자체(산하기관 포함), 사회적협동조합, 사회적기업, 농업인(농업법인 포함) 등이며, 이들 간 컨소시엄 구성을 통한 공동 참여도 가능하다. 특히 사회적 기업이나 협동조합이 주체가 되어 스마트팜을 운영함으로써 지역사회와의 연계를 강화하고, 농업의 사회적 역할을 실현할 수 있도록 지원할 예정이다.
