【브레이크뉴스 경기남부 = 용인 이현준 기자】 용인특례시보건소는 지난 11일 문화예술원에서 제53회 보건의 날(4월 7일) 기념행사를 개최했다고 13일 밝혔다.

이날 행사는 국민건강증진법 개정 30주년을 기념해 ‘30년 건강의 발자취, 건강한 미래를 잇는 도약’이라는 슬로건으로 지역민의 건강 증진과 보건 향상에 이바지한 유공자를 표창하고자 마련됐다.

행사는 시민과 보건의료인 등 150여명이 참석한 가운데 사물놀이와 민요 등 사전 공연을 시작으로 보건의 날 유공자 표창, 기념식, 건강 강좌 순으로 진행됐다.

표창 수여식에선 보건·의료 분야에서 헌신한 공무원과 민간인 19명이 용인시장 표창(공무원 9명, 민간인 7명)과 용인시의회 의장 표창(민간인 3명) 등을 받았다.

또 보건소는 행사 당일 홍보부스를 운영하며 구강보건, 금연 사업, 심뇌혈관질환 예방 사업, 건강도시 조성 사업 등 여러 사업을 시민에게 소개했다.

이상일 시장은 “코로나팬데믹으로 나라 전체는 물론 전 세계가 비상이 걸리면서 3년 이상 보건의료 분야에서 활동하는 모든 분이 확산을 막고, 감염병을 치료하기 위해 헌신적으로 노력을 해주셨다. 정말 그간의 노고에 진심으로 감사의 뜻을 전한다”며 “감염병은 언제든 우리에게 순식간에 닥쳐올 수 있는 큰 문제라고 생각한다. 평소 우리 공직자와 보건의료에 종사하는 모든 분의 노력이 매우 중요하다. 시도 순차적으로 예산을 만들어 대비토록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
