[브레이크뉴스경기남부=이천 오경희기자] 이천시가 주최한 제26회 이천 백사 산수유꽃 축제가 지난 28일부터 3일간 백사면 도립리, 경사리, 송말리 일원에서 열렸다. 

올해는 경남 의성에서 시작된 대형 산불사고로 인해 개막식행사와 대다수의 공연들이 취소된 가운데 식당4개소, 체험 14개소, 탄소중립체험존 5개소, 판매 6개소 등 총 84개 부스와 셔틀버스가 정상운영됐다. 

또한 김경희 이천시장, 송석준 국회의원, 박명서 이천시의회 의장과 시의윈들, 홍광표 임금님표 이천브랜드 관리본부 본부장등 시관계자 외 8만6천명의 관광객들이 올해 26회 산수유 축제에 함께 했으며 특히 이천시 바르게살기운동 본부 15명 회원들이 주차 자원봉사에 참여했다.

첫날 행사장에서 만난 이천시의회 서학원 산업건설위원장은 "이번 축제는 매출 목표보다는 홍보 효과에 중점을 뒀다."라고 전하며 "아쉽지만 국가적 재난에 마음을 모은다는 취지에서 공연 일정은 모두 취소하기로 했다."라고 말했다.
