[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 오경희기자] 수원특례시의회 김미경 의원(더불어민주당, 매교·매산·고등·화서1·2동)이 ‘화서1구역 공공재개발사업’ 추진을 위한 간담회를 진행했다.

27일 시의회에서 열린 이날 간담회는 화서1구역 재개발 추진위원회 및 주민들의 요청으로 이루어졌으며, 관계부서 공무원이 참석해 재개발사업 추진을 위한 의견을 나누었다.

화서1구역은 2023년 7월, ‘수원시 공공재개발사업 후보지 공모’에 각각 응모하였던 동말·서호지구가 작년 8월에 주민 간 협의로 통합·확장된 구역이다.

당초 화서1구역 출범 직후 사업 추진에 박차를 가할 것으로 기대를 모았지만, 현재 고도지구 등 높이 규제 완화를 위한 검토 작업으로 사업 추진이 다소 지연되고 있다.

이러한 상황에서 김 의원은 주민 불안을 해소하고, 관계부서로부터 진행 상황을 직접 청취할 수 있도록 이날 간담회를 마련한 것이다.
