[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 이현준기자] 용인특례시가 양봉산업 경쟁력을 강화하기 위해 ‘2025년 양봉산업 육성사업’에 참여할 농가를 모집한다.

효율적인 사양관리와 양봉장비 보급 지원을 통해 양봉산업의 기반을 확대하고 농가소득을 늘리는데 도움을 주려는 것이다.

시는 선정된 양봉 농가에 총 4억 500만원을 투입해 꿀벌 사육에 필요한 현대화 양봉 장비와 시설을 지원한다.

주요 지원사업은 꿀벌 월동관리를 위한 저온저장시설 설치비 지원(2억 1560만원) ▲벌통 온·습도 유지를 위한 양봉 스마트센서(3120만원) ▲자연화분(꽃가루) 지원(7200만원) ▲양봉 보조사료(설탕) 지원(2740만원) ▲EPP벌통 지원(2250만원) ▲여왕벌 육성지원(1440만원) 등이다.

지원대상은 ‘양봉산업 육성법’에 따라 양봉업 등록을 한 관내 농가이며, 신청은 2월 21일까지 구·읍·면 행정복지센터에서 가능하다.

시는 2월 중 지원 대상을 선정하고 농가에 개별 통보할 계획이다.

시 관계자는 “기후변화에 따른 꿀벌 사육 여건 악화와 수입산 벌꿀 유통으로 인해 양봉산업의 경쟁력이 약화되고 있는 상황”이라며 “이번 지원사업이 양봉 농가들에 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.

지난해 말 기준으로 시에 등록된 양봉농가는 총 170곳으로 토종꿀벌 사육농가 6곳, 혼합 양봉농가 8곳, 서양종 사육농가 156곳 등이다.
