미세먼지 농도가 높아지는 계절관리제 시행 기간 중 산업 분야 배출원 관리를 강화해 대기오염물질 배출을 저감하려는 취지다.

점검 대상은 미세먼지 오염물질 발생이 많은 대기배출시설 3종 사업장과 레미콘제조업,비금속광물분쇄업, 폐기물처리업 등의 사업장 36곳이다.

주요 점검 사항은 배출시설과 방지시설의 적정 운영 여부, 대기오염물질 누출 여부, 불법 배출구 여부 등의 환경 관련 법규를 준수하는지와 미세먼지 주의보나 경보 발령 시 작업 시간 감축, 제품 생산량 및 원료·연료 사용량 저감 등 오염물질 저감 조치 이행 여부 등이다.

시는 점검 결과 관리가 미흡한 사업장에 대해선 현장에서 즉시 시정할 수 있도록 조치하고위반 사항이 적발된 사업장에 대해서는 과태료를 부과하거나 사용 중지 등의 행정 처분을할 방침이다.

시 관계자는 “미세먼지 농도가 높은 시기에는 각 사업장이 자체적으로 조업시간을 단축하거나 연료 사용과 생산량을 줄이도록 유도하고, 철저한 점검을 통해 대기오염물질 배출을 최소화할 수 있도록 하겠다”고 말했다.
