(브레이크뉴스 경기남부= 수원 이현준 기자) 2024년 경기도 대기환경이 2015년 초미세먼지(PM-2.5) 측정 시작 이후 가장 맑았다는 조사결과가 나왔다.

3일 경기도보건환경연구원 조사결과에 따르면 경기도 초미세먼지 농도는 2019년 26㎍/㎥, 2020년 21㎍/㎥, 2021년 21㎍/㎥, 2022년 20㎍/㎥, 2023년 21㎍/㎥ 2024년 18㎍/㎥로 계속 개선 추세를 이어갔다.

초미세먼지 ‘좋음’ 등급 일수 역시 177일로, 대기질이 가장 좋았던 2022년 166일보다 11일이나 늘어났다.

경기도보건환경연구원은 이런 초미세먼지 감소 원인을 지속적인 대기질 개선정책(산업, 수송, 생활 배출원 관리)과 양호한 기상조건 등으로 분석했다.

이번 초미세먼지 측정은 지난해 1월부터 12월까지 1년간 경기도 31개 시·군 110개 도시대기측정소에서 이뤄졌으며, 측정 결과는 올해 상반기 국립환경과학원의 검토를 거쳐 최종 확정될 예정이다.

경기도보건환경연구원 관계자는 “기상 조건과 황사 등 국외 유입 영향에 따라 고농도 미세먼지가 발생할 수 있으므로 미세먼지, 오존 등 대기오염 경보 발령 시 실외 활동을 자제하는 등 건강관리에 유의할 것을 당부드린다”고 말했다.
