용인특례시, 최고 반도체 장비업체 ASML 업무협약 체결

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 이현준기자] 용인특례시가 반도체 장비업체인 ASML의 한국법인 ASML코리아와 ‘반도체 산업 경쟁력 강화를 위한 업무협약‘을 체결했다.

ASML코리아는 원삼면 용인반도체클러스터 협력화단지에 사무소를 설치하기 위해 시와 협의를 진행하고 있다.

양 기관은 용인과 지역 내 반도체산업 관련 기업의 경쟁력 강화, 반도체 공급망 안정화를 위해 반도체 장비의 기술지원과 유지·보수 기반 구축에 힘을 모으기로 했다.

협약을 통해 용인은 ASML코리아가 반도체 팹(Fab) 인근에서 최첨단 반도체 장비를 가동하는 데 필요한 기술지원과 유지·보수 등의 업무를 수행할 사무소를 설치할 수 있도록 행정절차를 적극 지원한다.

ASML코리아는 관내 대학과 연계한 산학연 프로그램 등을 통해 반도체 산업 인재를 양성하고, ’용인반도체클러스터 일반산업단지‘에 설치한 사무실에 용인지역 인력을 채용하는 것에 협조하기로 했다.

또, ’용인반도체클러스터 일반산업단지‘에 입주한 SK하이닉스를 비롯한 반도체 관련 기업에 첨단 장비 성능 유지를 위한 기술 서비스를 제공하고, 기업들과 긴밀한 협력 관계를 구축해 협업 범위를 확대한다.

ASML코리아의 입주가 결정되면서용인에는 세계 10대 반도체 장비업체 중 4사가 자리를 잡게 된다.
