6일 시청 에이스홀에서 한 해 동안 지역 발전을 위해 헌신적으로 봉사해 온 유공자 41명을 표창했다.

용인시새마을회가 주관한 행사에는 이상일 용인특례시장을 비롯해 유진선 용인특례시의회 의장, 김춘연 용인시새마을회장, 새마을지도자 등 400여명이 참석했다.

이날 평소 투철한 사명감과 봉사정신으로 지역사회와 새마을회 발전을 위해 노력해 온 모범 새마을지도자 41명에게는 행정안전부 장관상, 경기도지사상, 용인특례시장상 등을 비롯한 유공자 표창이 전달됐다.

올해 최우수 새마을회로는 처인구 이동읍이 선정됐다. 우수상은 양지면, 장려상은 포곡읍, 모현읍, 노력상은 백암면, 동백2동이 각각 수상했다.
