[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 이현준기자] 용인특례시 기흥구 동백지구가 국토교통부의 자율주행차 시범운행지구로 신규 지정됐다고 5일 밝혔다.

자율주행차 시범운행지구는 자율주행자동차의 연구와 시범 운행을 촉진하기 위해 규제 특례가 적용되는 구역이다. 지구로 지정되면 자율주행자동차법 제9조 등에 따라 여객의 유상 운송 및 자동차 안전기준, 화물 운송 특례 등을 적용받는다.
