[브레이크뉴스경기남부=안산 이현준기자] 안산시가 ‘노후 전기시설 무료개선사업’ 추진 발대식을 개최했다.

한국전기공사협의회 안산시협의회에서 저소득층, 독거노인, 한부모가정, 소년소녀가장 등 에너지 취약계층의 노후된 조명, 콘센트 등을 교체해 쾌적하고 안전한 생활환경을 제공하기 위해 추진됐다.

사업 대상 가구는 30여 가구이다. 시는 취약계층 시설의 노후 정도와 사고의 위험성 등을 고려해 대상자를 선정했으며 11월 말까지 시설 개선을 완료할 계획이다.

이번 사업을 위해 시는 노후 시설 개선의 재료비 등을 지원하고 비용과 기술인력은 한국전기공사협회 안산협의회 회원들의 재능기부로 진행된다.

이민근 안산시장은 “오래된 전기 시설로 인해 고충이 많았던 취약 계층에게 에너지 비용 절감과 안전사고를 예방할 수 있는 여건이 마련돼 기쁘다”라며 “소외된 이웃을 위한 에너지 나눔의 가치를 지속 실천해 나가겠다”라고 말했다.
