[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 오경희기자] 경기포천교육도서관은 도서관 재개관식을 가졌다.

지난 25일 10개월간의 도서관 공간재구조화 공사를 마무리하고 실시한 이날 재개관식에는 경기도의회 윤충식 의원, 포천교육지원청 김재진 교육장, 경기중앙교육도서관 이진규 관장, 경기도교육청 김은선 평생교육과장, 도서관운영위원회 위원들과 학교장 및 도서관 관계자 등이 참석했다.

경기포천교육도서관은 경기도교육청으로부터 사업비 30억4천만과 자체예산 4억5천만원을 투입하여 지난 2023년 12월부터 공간 재구조화를 위한 공사를 추진했다.

또한 이용자 공간은 총 2개층으로 1층에 이야기의 숲(어린이자료실)과 나눔의 숲(종합자료실)이 같이 있는 통합자료실 형태로 이야기의 숲 안에는 소담소담(이야기방)이라는 체험형 동화구연실을 설치하여 가상공간과 동작 인식프로그램 등 최신 가상현실 기술을 활용해 어린이들이 동화 속 주인공이 되어보는 특별한 독서체험을 할 수 있도록 했다.

2층은 경기도교육청 소속의 교육도서관으로서 학생중심의 서비스를 강화하기 위해 청소년 전용공간으로 꾸몄다.

또한, 메이킹존에는 레이저 각인커팅기, 자수 재봉틀, 실루엣 커팅기, 책 제본기 등의 메이킹장비와 활동에 필요한 각종 물품과 재료를 비치한 재료바를 갖추고 있으며 커뮤니티홀은 태블릿과 노트북을 대여하여 OTT서비스 통해 영화 및 음악감상을 즐기거나 친구들과 쉼, 소통할 수 있는 공간으로 꾸며졌다.

딩굴(동아리실)은 청소년과 지역주민을 위한 소규모 독서회나 동아리 활동공간과 VR체험 및 스포츠게임을 즐길 수 있는 여가공간으로 활용할 수 있게 했으며 도서관 외부공간으로는 1층 어린이자료실과 연결된 야외 테라스와 2층 라운지를 설치하여 기존의 답답했던 도서관에서 벗어나 자연과 함께 독서와 휴식을 즐길 수 있도록 했다.

한편, 지난 1989년 7월 개관한 경기포천교육도서관은 재단장을 마치고 29일부터 지역주민들과 학생들에게 전면 개방한다.
