‘도시농업과 함께하는 추억여행’이라는 주제로 10월 18일부터 19일까지 월곶동 공영도시농업농장에서 도시농부 가족과 시민들이 함께 어울리는 이번 행사는 친환경으로 재배된 시민행복텃밭 다랑이논에서 전래 농기구를 이용한 벼 수확 체험, 인절미 만들기, 볏짚을 활용한 작품 만들기, 즉석 벼 도정 체험 등이 진행될 예정이다. 또한, 제18회 우리꽃 자생식물 전시회와 함께 가을의 풍요로움을 직접 체험할 수 있는 프로그램이 마련된다. 특히 가족 단위 방문객들이 도시농업을 즐기고 배울 수 있는 교육 체험 중심의 행사가 준비돼 있다.

이번 제6회 시흥시도시농업한마당은 도시농업관리사협회가 운영하며 도시농업 주제관을 중심으로 개막식 공연, 텃밭 음악회, 텃밭 사진 전시, 전래놀이, 체험교육, 전시마당, 벼룩시장, 지식마당, 도시농업 상담소 등 다채로운 프로그램들이 이틀 동안 펼쳐진다. 어른들에게는 농촌에 대한 향수를 불러일으킬 ‘추억 여행’ 코너도 함께 운영돼, 과거의 정서를 느낄 기회를 제공한다.
