[브레이크뉴스경기남부=평택 이현준기자] 경기도와 경기평택항만공사(사장 김석구)가 “탈탄소화 친환경 항만 조성 방안”을 주제로 자동차 수출입 1위 항만, 자동차 특화 항만, 평택항의 미래 지속 성장 발전 방안에 대해 논의를 가졌다.

9월 11일(수) 왈레니우스윌헬름센 등 자동차전용선사, 평택항 유관기관, 평택국제자동차부두 등 관계자와 함께 열린이 자리에는 왈레니우스윌헬름센, 현대글로비스, NYK, Eastern Car Liner, 등 자동차전용선사, 한국선급(KR), 일본선급(Class NK),경기도, 평택지방해양수산청, 평택국제자동차부두 등 관계자들이 참석한 가운데, 평택항 자동차 수출입 현장 상황을 직접 살펴보고, 평택항의 미래 지속 가능한 해운 및 항만 산업 발전 방안을 모색하기 위해 마련된 소식을 전했다.

경기평택항만공사 김석구 사장은 개회사를 통해서“기후 변화 대응이 해운 및 항만 산업의 미래 지속 성장 경쟁력을 좌우하는 중요하고 시급한 요소로 부각되고 있다. 평택항은 자동차 산업 등 대한민국 주요 산업의 거점 항만으로 경기도 RE100 정책에 부응한 탈탄소, 친환경 활동을 통해서 미래 지속성장을 선도해 나가야 한다”며 “해운 ․ 항만․ 물류업계와 함께 협력하여 친환경 항만 조성에 적극 노력해 나가겠다”고 말하며,“앞으로 기후 위기에 대응한 평택항 AMP(Alternative Maritime Power, 육상전원공급설비) 확대 설치 방안도 유관기관과 검토하겠다”고 밝혔다.
