7일 시에 따르면 민족의 명절인 추석을 맞아 오는 14일부터 18일까지 5일간 시민과 방문객 모두가 안전하고 편안한 연휴를 보낼 수 있도록 힘을 모은다. 

이민근 안산시장은 지난 6일 오전 간부회의에서 부시장 및 실·국장 등과 함께 추석 연휴 종합대책에 대해 분야별 중점 점검하는 시간을 가졌다. 시는 연휴 기간 시민 불편을 최소화한다는 목표로 행정력을 최대한 집중하기로 했다.

우선, 시민 생활과 직결되는 안전사고·응급진료·생활폐기물·교통 수송·성묘객 편의·외국인 밀집 지역 관리 등 총 10개 분야에 걸쳐 25개 부서에서 대책반을 운영한다.
