[브레이크뉴스경기남부=오산 이귀선기자] 오산시와 화성오산교육지원청이 6일 시청에서 오산미래교육협력지구 세부사업 운영을 위한 부속 합의서를 체결했다.

미래교육협력지구는 학교와 지역사회가 연계하여 학생이 자신의 꿈을 실현할 수 있도록 경기도교육청과 기초자치단체의 협력을 통해 학교 교육과정을 지원하는 공동체이다.

지난해 1월 체결한 미래교육협력지구 업무협약을 근거로 매년 세부 사업을 지정하여 부속 합의안을 체결한다.

이번 업무협약을 통해 양 기관은 2024년 오산시의 미래교육협력지구 운영을 위한  행정적·재정적 기반 조성과 인적·물적 자원 공유를 위한 긴밀한 협력을 약속했다.

이번 부속 합의안에 따르면 ▲교육자치활성화를 통한 함께 성장하는 교육공동체 구축 ▲지역 연계 학생 맞춤형 교육을 통한 교육격차 해소 ▲글로컬 융합인재 양성을 위한 지역맞춤형 미래교육 실현의 3가지 중심 추진목표를 바탕으로 세부 사업이 편성돼 있다.

민선 8기 오산시는 핵심 정책인 AI코딩교육을 중심으로 1인 1악기 통기타 교육, 오산형 고교학점제 등 다양한 교육사업을 추진하고 있으며 AI코딩교육 활성화, 우리고장 바로알기 등 일부 사업은 교육청과 협력해 사업을 추진해 나갈 예정이다.

정광윤 화성오산교육지원청 교육장은 “미래교육협력지구 사업은 지역과 학교의 특색이 살아있는 지역 중심의 미래인재 양성을 위한 발걸음”이며, “경기도교육청의 ‘자율·균형·미래’의 3대 목표를 기조로 지역맞춤형 미래교육 실현을 위해 이번 부속합의안 체결과 함께 지자체와의 협력을 위해 노력할 것”이라고 말했다.

이권재 오산시장은 “지자체와 교육청의 협력은 오산형 미래인재 양성을 위한 중요한 기틀인 만큼 이번 업무협약으로 지속적인 상호협력이 이루어지길 기대한다”며, “2024년에도 오산시는 AI코딩에듀랩을 통해 다양한 AI코딩교육 운영, 원어민 화상영어 프로그램 등 지역 특색을 고려한 교육을 실시하여 오산의 교육력 제고를 위해 힘쓸 것이다”고 말했다.
