평택시안전농산물 생산 위한 교육 진행

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=평택 이귀선기자] 평택시농업기술센터(소장 이우진)는 지난 23일 로컬푸드 생산자 43명을 대상으로 안전농산물 생산을 위한 교육을 진행했다.  

이번 교육은 농약 오남용 피해 사례를 바탕으로 한 농약 안전 사용 요령 및 현장에서 궁금한 PLS(Positive List System, 농약허용물질목록관리제도), 유용미생물 이용 기술 등을 주요 내용으로 하였다.  

PLS제도는 작물별로 등록된 농약만 사용할 수 있고, 잔류허용기준 미설정 농약은 일률기준(0.01㎎/㎏)으로 관리하는 제도로 2019년 1월 1일부터 모든 농산물에 적용하고 있다.  

잔류허용기준 이상의 농약이 검출되면 해당 농산물은 폐기되거나 출하 연기 또는 용도 전환이 되고 농업인은 공익직불금 감액(최대 40%)과 100만 원 이하의 과태료가 부과되는 만큼 농업인들의 각별한 주의가 필요하다.  

시 관계자는 “농가 경영비 절감과 토양의 질 개선 및 작물 생육에 도움이 되는 농업용 미생물 활용법에 대해 교육하여 로컬푸드를 생산하는 농업인들의 안전한 농산물 생산과 농가경영비 절감에 도움이 될 것을 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
