[브레이크뉴스경기남부=광주 이귀선기자] 광주시의회(의장 주임록)는 11월 27일부터 다음달 15일까지 19일간‘제305회 광주시의회 제2차 정례회’를 개회한다.

올해 마지막 회기인 이번 정례회에서는 2024년도 일반 및 특별회계 세입·세출 예산안, 제3회 추가경정예산안 심사가 예정되어 있고, 광주시장의 시정연설 및 조례안, 각종 안건 등을 처리할 계획이다.

주요 일정으로는 회기 첫 날인 11월 27일 제1차 본회의를 시작으로 예산결산특별위원회를 구성한 뒤 28~29일 각 상임위원회별로 상정 조례안 및 기타 안건을 심사한다.

이어, 11월 30일 제2차 본회의를 열어 시정연설 및 2024년도 일반 및 특별회계 세입·세출 예산안, 기금운영계획안에 대한 제안설명 청취와 집행부에 대한 시정질문이 예정되어 있다.  

광주시의 내년도 예산안의 규모는 올해보다 909억 원 증가한 1조 4,218억 원으로 12월 1일부터 12월 7일까지 7일간 각 상임위원회별로 내년도 예산안에 대한 예비심사를 실시한 후, 12월 8일 예산결산특별위원회를 거쳐 12월 11일 제3차 본회의에서 의결한다.

마지막으로, 12월 15일 제4차 본회의에서 소관 상임위원회와 예산결산특별위원회 심사를 거친 제3회 추가경정예산안과 조례안 및 기타 안건 등을 최종 의결하고 제305회 정례회를 마무리할 예정이다.

주임록 의장은 “이번 정례회 주요 안건 중 하나인 2024년도 예산안에 대해 각 분야의 예산이 지역경제 활성화 및 시민의 복지 향상을 위해 적재적소에 편성됐는지 세심하게 심사해 주시기 바란다. 

광주시의 실정에 맞게 꼭 필요한 사업부터 우선순위를 결정하여 소중한 세금이 시민들을 위해 사용될 수 있도록 빈틈없이 살펴 의회의 역할을 충실히 다하겠다.”고 말했다.

“We will faithfully fulfill our role as a council by prioritizing essential projects in accordance with the circumstances of Gwangju City and closely monitoring the process to ensure that precious tax dollars can be used for the benefit of citizens,” he said.
